Jury selection is set to begin Monday in the trial of Dalton Fletcher, a western Ouachita Parish teenager accused of killing his parents.

The trial was moved to Benton after a judge agreed publicity about the case made it impossible to empanel an impartial jury in Ouachita Parish.

Charles Kincade, Fletcher's defense attorney said the new location was chosen because it's demographically similar to Ouachita Parish while also being outside of Ouachita Parish's media coverage area.

Fletcher, 16 at the time of the shootings, was arrested on two counts of second-degree murder. Fletcher has pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity.

He is accused of shooting his parents and threatened to shoot his sister on Sept. 9, 2010.
