Temporary Road Closure Happening On I-10 On Thursday Morning

Louisiana State Police along with the Lafayette Police Department will temporarily close Interstate 10 eastbound at University Ave (LA 182) to I-49.

The closure is needed so LUS can run cable lines across both the east and westbound lanes of Interstate 10. The closure will take place at approximately 6:30 am. The duration of the closure will last at a minimum of 30 minutes to 1 hour.

Lafayette police officers and Troopers will be at the intersections where the detour will take place.

Detour: I-10 E/B to LA 182 south to Willow Street east to Evangeline Thruway north to I-10 E/B
