HOUMA, La. (AP) — A grand jury next year will hear the case of a driver accused of hitting and killing a 14-year-old boy on a bike.

Stephen Pellegrin was booked with the vehicular homicide of Logan Bergeron of Gray.

Assistant District Attorney Seth Dodd tells The Courier grand jurors are scheduled to hear Pellegrin's case in February.

Pellegrin's attorney Tracy Schwab says any charges against his client should be considered unofficial until after the grand jury hearing.

State police say Pellegrin was driving a pickup that hit Bergeron on Country Estates Drive. Bergeron was taken to a hospital, and he died Nov. 6.
