SLIDELL, La. (AP) — A 19-year-old Texas woman was killed when a pickup crashed into her car on Interstate 12 in Slidell

Authorities say the driver of the pickup was booked with negligent homicide and several other offenses.

State Police say Kristen Stoltman, of Woodlands, Texas, was driving a small Mazda eastbound around 6 p.m. Friday when traffic slowed near exit 80. Stoltman was killed on impact when a Dodge pickup driven by Kevin Greenwood of Ormond Beach, Fla., failed to slow down and struck her vehicle from behind.

According to the Times-Picayune, a passenger in Stoltman's vehicle, Jesse Stoltman, of Magnolia, Texas, sustained serious injuries and was transported to an area hospital.

Greenwood was charged with careless operation, negligent homicide, and negligent injuring and booked into the St. Tammany Parish Jail.
