The shirts' creator, Lauren Thom, told WGNO it's the slang answer you often hear when a Kenner resident is asked where he's from: "I'm from Kenna, bra." Yenni contends the t-shirts and the terminology will hurts the city's economy. Not so fast, says Thom.  She says since all the controversy started over the t-shirts her sales have tripled.

The mayor of Kenner, says that he thinks the new t-shirt with the slogan "Kenna" and a picture of a bra next to it is disrespectful to the city.

Mayor Mike Yenni says the t-shirts are being sold at a couple of stores in the city, and he does not think the t-shirts are good for the city's image.
