“The Lafayette Food Junkie Show” Goes To L.A. For The TASTE Awards (Audio)

Tiffiany Decou, the "Lafayette Food Junkie," recently returned from Los Angeles where she represented "The Lafayette Food Junkie Show," Newstalk 96.5 KPEL and all of you, the listeners, on a national stage.

"The Lafayette Food Junkie Show" was nominated for two TASTY Awards. The TASTY Awards are a national competition featuring the best of the best in food entertainment and showcase some of the biggest names in Television, Online, in Film and on Radio.

"We (Chef Zack Doise) were a finalist our first year on the air," says Tiffiany. "It was an honor to be recognized at all."

Tiffiany and Chef Zack went up against iconic shows across the country, including the very popular "America's Test Kitchen," which won The People's Choice category of the awards show. In representing the show and all of you, Tiffiany got to meet some amazing people in the food entertainment industry and was able to gain some respect from them for the show, which is only a year and a couple of months old.

But, Tiffiany says, she and Zack will not rest on their laurels as they will look to continue bringing you the latest in Lafayette/Acadiana area food news and talk about food topics that are relevant to you.

"True to me, leaving town has left me inspired. I'm back, refreshed and ready to get the creative juices flowing."
