Google's Frightgeist is here and we now know the most popular Halloween costumes in Acadiana and the rest of the U.S.

Google's Frighgeist has an interactive map of the US that allows anyone to find out what the most popular Halloween costumes are in their city and state. Here are the top costumes for some of the biggest cities in Louisiana:

Lafayette, Baton Rouge, and New Orleans: Fortnite
Alexandria: Peacock (whaaa?)
Lake Charles: Vampire
Monroe: Pirate
Shreveport: Princess

Fortnite is the biggest trending costume in Louisiana this year, while vampire, pirate, and princess are classic Halloween standards. Not really sure what's going on in Alexandria with peacocks, though...
