On the Wednesday, April 19th edition of The Ross Report, the conversation was dominated by the Lafayette Parish School System's proposed 10-year, half-cent sales tax.

The measure is on ballots for the April 29th election (and currently on early voting ballots).

School district officials are calling for the tax to replace nearly 250 classrooms that are currently housed in portable buildings throughout the parish.

Two young callers to the program are a real life brother-sister pair who gave scathing example of why the Lafayette Parish School System administrators are detatched from some of the real issues.

The Comeaux High School students--dubbed Jane and John Deaux--were adamant about their schools degraded plumbing, dated textbooks and transportation, among many others.

Click the link above to hear what Jane and John really thing about where the School Board should actually spend future tax money.

If you wan to get in on the conversation, call 232-1542 between 2 and 4 p.m Monday through Friday; Carol would love to hear from you!
