On Tuesday's edition of The Ross Report, Lafayette Parish Sheriff Mark Garber gave an in-depth look at the duties he and his office share to keep Lafayette Parish safe.

Garber spoke at length with host Carol Ross  regarding such issues as narcotics enforcement, human trafficking abatement and overcrowding at the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center.

Carol posed questions regarding the sheriff's operating budget which he said is sourced by sales and property taxes. Garber said he will ask the voters to approve a reapportionment of the half-cent sales tax to fill holes created by debt of the physical properties the sheriff's office has acquired since Garber has been in office.
