Second Person Arrested In Lafayette Murder Case

Lafayette Police detectives have arrested the brother of Kyle Toups in connection with the murder of Michael Darby who body was found earlier this week near a downtown office building.  Toups is accused of killing Darby earlier this week.

Travis Toups of Carencro was arrested on a charge of accessory after the fact to 2nd degree murder.

Police say that Kyle Toups allegedly stabbed Michael Darby during some type of disturbance this weekend.  Darby’s body was found in some bushes near an attorney’s office.

Police have not given us more details as to what prompted them to arrest Travis Toups on the accessory charge, but they do say that they are continuing to work on the case.
