Third Straight Month Of Decline In Retail Sales Leads Negative Day – Acadiana Business Index

• The Dow Jones Industrial Index closed at 12,727.21 -49.88. The Nasdaq Composite Index closed at 2898,96-11.53.   The S&P500 Index closed at 1353.64-3.14. Crude oil closed to $88.43-$1.33.

• It was the third straight month of a decline in retail sales with 0.5% in June.

• In corporate news, Citigroup shares rose .7% after reporting second quarter profit that topped expectations.
