Threatening Letter Causes Evacuation Of New Iberia Post Office

The Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office says the New Iberia Post Office has been evacuated as reports say a threatening letter containing an unknown powdery substance was received.

Spokesperson Captain Richard Fleming says the Post Office is expected to remain closed for several hours as his office's Patrol Division and Bureau of Investigation, as well as the New Iberia Fire Department, are on the scene investigating.
