27-year-old Tyler Arceneaux and 18-year-old Devante Robinson, both of Lafayette, and 24-year-old Dequency Celestine of Rayne are now behind bars after allegedly trying to break into the house in the 2000 block of Guy Road and then trying to get away in a stolen vehicle.

Captain Ryan Turner with the Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office says deputies got a call around 12:20 p.m. Wednesday that the three men tried to break into the house, then got away in a blue Chevrolet pickup truck. Depties were able to catch up to the truck heading west on the Loreauville Highway. The truck, which had been reported stolen from Lafayette Parish, eventually crashed into a ditch near the intersection of the Loreauville Highway and Emile Verret Road, and the driver was arrested immediately. The other two suspects were caught after a brief foot chase.

All three suspects are being charged with attempted home invasion, aggravated flight in a motor vehicle, resisting an officer by flight on foot, possession of marijuana and monies derived from drug proceeds.

The Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office report lists Robinson's date of birth as February 13, 1995, meaning he got arrested on his birthday.
