More Information Released After Three Dead In Domestic Disturbance In Breaux Bridge
St. Martin Parish Sheriff's detectives have now released more information about the shooting that happened in Breaux Bridge.
The first call came into 911 last night just before 8 o'clock at night.. Leola Blanchard said there was a problem at her home, and she told the dispatcher she had been shot by her husband Clifford Blanchard.
The next call came from Scott Blanchard who is the son of Clifford and Leola. He told the dispatcher his father also shot hime.
Deputies got to scene and found 3-year-old Ashlynn Blanchard, Scott Blanchard's daughter, dead from a gunshot wouund.
After the shootings, Clifford and Scott fought, and Scott fatally shot Clifford.
The investigation continues.
Tuesday evening, St. Martin Parish deputies were called out to a domestic disturbance call on La Rue Angelle in Breaux Bridge, and three people had been fatally shot.
Deputies found 58-year-old Clifford Blanchard, 72-year-old Leola Blanchard and 3-year-old Ashlynn Blanchard are all dead.
Deputies say 32-year-old Scott Blanchard was taken to a hospital with critical injuries.
Deputies say one of the four people involved is a former St. Martin Parish Corrections Officer who last worked for the department in 2004.
The investigation is still ongoing, and no other information is available right now.
