Thursday Night OWI Checkpoint Scheduled For Lafayette

The Lafayette Police Department will be conducting an OWI checkpoint from 9:00pm Thursday until 3:00am Friday. The checkpoint purpose is to target drivers under the influence of alcohol or other dangerous substances. Officers working the checkpoint will have zero tolerance for drivers under the influence so they urge everyone to designate a driver before the event. Driving under the influence could result in costly fines and serious jail time.
