Today Marks Six-Year Anniversary Of Hurricane Katrina
It was six years ago today that Hurricane Katrina made landfall in Louisiana, tearing through everything in its path, causing billions of dollars in damages. And the state is still rebuilding. Former Louisiana Recovery Authority Director Paul Rainwater says over nine billion dollars has been spent to help the 124,000 people who had property damage in the state. According to Rainwater, there is still millions in hurricane recovery money that needs to be spent.
