Todd Akin and The Legitimate Rape Comments

Representative Todd Akin of Missouri is in a world of hurt. After he suggested that women could magically abort a pregnancy that was the result of “a legitimate rape,” even those in his own party have suggested that it is time to step out of the race for the Senate seat in his home state.
Before the comments, he was expected to win the race walking away. Now, he is in a fight for his political life.
