Every drop of rain helps the drought-starved Toledo Bend Reservoir, but it's going to take more than a few days of scattered thunderstorms to push it to full recovery. The massive waterway hovered slightly above 163 feet — 9 feet below pool stage on Tuesday.  Sabine River Authority Executive Director Jim Pratt says that without significant rain, the reservoir is on track to possibly break a record low of 161.25 feet recorded Oct. 16, 2006.  So far, the low level is not hampering water systems that draw their supplies from Toledo Bend.  But Many, LA which has its water intake in a shallow area of the reservoir, is asking residents to cut outdoor water use.
