In the last edition of "Not Necessarily The News," Tootie Landry talks about her time spent here at KPEL.

"Hey! I'm Tootie Landry and this is what I found out today! I was thinking this past weekend how many different ways there are to say goodbye! We can wave, we can hang up the telephone or we can just drive off.

I can even say goodby in several different languages! 'Farvel' in Norwegian. 'Adios' in Spanish and 'Au revoir' in French. Or, I can just say, 'See you later' in English. But, no matter which way I choose, today's goodbye is bittersweet. It's with a heavy heart I'm stepping down from my segment 'Not Necessarily the News.'

I've been very fortunate in my life. I'm so blessed with a loving family and friends. I get to go to work everyday in an area I'm very passionate about. I've traveled around the world and met interesting people along the way. And yes, being employed at KPEL the last several years has been awesome! The folks here make coming to work, not work!

So today, here's to you, the listeners and my colleagues at Townsquare Media. Thank you for all the ideas you have given me, the emails, all the compliments and criticism too!
And finally, as the famous Australian actor Errol Flynn once said, 'I've had a lot of fun, and I've enjoyed every minute of it!'

And I'm Tootie Landry and this is 'Not Necessarily the News!'"
