In this edition of "Not Necessarily The News," Tootie thinks about a few events that might get her into the 2012 Summer Olympics.

"Hey! I’m Tootie Landry and this is what I found out today! With the Summer Olympics fast approaching, I’ve been wondering how can I get to London? Since the tickets are either sold out or out of my skinny wallet’s reach, I thought maybe I could make Team U.S.A. So, I’ve thought of a few events that could possibly get me there.

Badminton- I’ve hit that birdie many times in the backyard and I’ve even beaten my brother twice!

Fencing- I know I can compete in that sport! I can name all kinds of fences; barbwire, picket, chain link, and hurricane!

Synchronized Swimming- I’ve been practicing with my water aerobics group and we have even mastered raising our right leg at the same time!

Steeplechase- If only they didn’t have that puddle after the hurdle… might be a little hard with my Delcambre Reeboks!

Any running event- Probably is my best chance at making the team. After all, I always stay in my lane while driving!

And finally, I’ll probably be at home watching the Olympics with my remote, but there’s always the Winter Games! And I’m Tootie Landry and this is “Not Necessarily the News!”
