It has been two and a half months since the early March tornado in Rayne.  The Acadia parish town had damage to, or destruction of, 100 homes.  A young mother lost her life after she through herself on top of her son to save his life. 

The mayor of Rayne, Jim Petijean, joined "Mornings With Ken & Bernie" today to talk about all of the work that still needs to be done to help the many dozens of people affected by the tornado.

Petijean says the town received no federal help.  He says they have established the Rayne Tornado Long Term Recovery Coaltion to take donated funds and use them to help people with things like getting a new roof.
