Traffic Blockage On I-49

Update 8:00 AM: One northbound lane is now open.

Update 7:00 AM: Both southbound lanes are now open. Both northbound lanes remain closed.

An accident involving an 18 wheeler has left both northbound lanes of I-49  at Mile marker 8 are shut down this morning. Northbound traffic will be diverted at exit 7 and detoured to highway 182.

One southbound lane will but open, but traffic will be significantly slowed.

Try to avoid this area if at all possible.
