Traffic Stop Ends With Man Shooting Himself

A violent end to an attempted traffic stop. Lake Charles police Spokesperson Mark Kraus says a man was driving his pickup erratically through the McNeese Campus Police parking lot last night. Spokesperson Mark Kraus says two university policemen in the parking lot noticed what was happening and stopped the man, who then shot himself in the head. The man later died at the hospital. Kraus says no motive has been established. Toxicology tests are pending.
