Four people are now behind bars after a traffic stop over the weekend.

Iberia Parish Sheriff Louis Ackal says police pulled over the vehicle in New Iberia. After searching the vehicle, Ackal says agents found marijuana, prescription medication and contraband. The driver of the vehicle, Benjamin Pittman, and the passenger Shelisa St. Julien Evans were arrested.

Police later went to the Pittman home on Nico Town Road and say they found approximately 14 pounds of suspected marijuana inside. Police say Norman Pittman tried to run away, but was caught quickly and arrested. Ashley Pittman was also arrested as well. Authorities say more arrests are expected.

Benjamin Pittman (no mug shot available) was charged with possession with intent to distribute schedule I, possession with intent to distribute schedule IV, money derived from drug proceeds and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Shelisa St. Julien Evans (no mug shot available) was charged with possession with intent to distribute schedule I, possession with intent to distribute schedule IV, money derived from drug proceeds and possession of drug paraphernalia.
