LSU cornerback Tre'Davious White is a semi-finalist for a prestigious award named after one of the greatest football players and athletes of all-time.

White is one of 16 semifinalists for the prestigious Jim Thorpe Award, given at the end of the regular season to the best defensive back in college football.

The senior from Shreveport has started all 7 games this season.

Despite being a DB, White has reached the end zone two times this season, returning an interception for a score in the season opener against Wisconsin, then returning a punt (video below) for a touchdown a week later against Jacksonville State.
