Trial Date Set For Accused Embezzler

An August 8th trial date is set for former Lafayette Parish School System employee Carol Thomas, who is accused of embezzling more than $50,000.  She has pleaded not guilty to all charges.  The funds were allegedly misappropriated from an after-school program that the 59-year-old headed.
