Today on 'Mornings With Ken and Bernie' Trooper Stephen Hammons, Public Information Officer for State Police Troop I said this was a very dangerous Thanksgiving holiday week.  According to Hammons, 13 crashes investigated by State Police resulted in 14 fatalities.  Hammons said,

Seven of those fatalities resulted from people not wearing seatbelts.  Seatbelts might not have prevented all of those fatalities but they might have saved some people.

In a followup from an earlier interview Trooper Hammons said with more and more people turning to motorcycles as a means of transportation State Police offer two levels of motorcycle instruction to better prepare riders.  According to Hammons,

The classes are held at State Police I Headquarters on Saturdays and Sunday with a minimal cost of $25.00
