Two Abbeville Men Face Multiple Charges After Gun Shots Heard

Abbeville Police have arrested two men after tracking down the source of gunfire on Martin Luther King Dr.. According to our news partner, KATC officers searched a car being driven by 30 year old Shawn Petry and discovered synthetic marijuana. Petry was charged with possession of schedule ONE controlled substances and being a habitual offender. 17 year old Keyshawn Henderson, the passenger in Petry's car was charged with possession with intent to distribute schedule ONE controlled substances, Illegal possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Both Petry and Henderson were booked into the Vermilion Parish Jail.
