Two Acadiana Singers Competing On American Idol

Two American Idol contestants from Louisiana have made the cut, and one of them is from right here in the Hub City. Lauren Daigle is an LSU student from Lafayette and the other is Joshua Ledet of Westlake.

Ledet, who was profiled on the show last night, says he nearly didn't make it onto the plane to Hollywood because he was so nervous. But he says his sister talked him into it.

The two will compete tonight at the Vegas competitions airing on FOX at 7 p.m.
