State Police say two people lied after they were involved in a single-vehicle crash over the weekend.

According to State Police Troop I spokesperson Trpr. Stephen Hammons,  the crash happened early Sunday morning after the driver of a truck drove off the right side of Hwy. 91 near Hwy. 714.

Twenty-three-year-old Kristian Hebert of Gueydan told investigating troopers at the scene that she was the driver, while 27-year-old Carrie Sensat of Egan told troopers she was the front seat passenger, Hammons said.

"As the investigation furthered, Hammons said, "troopers obtained information that Sensat was actually the driver of the truck and Hebert was the front seat passenger."

Sensat and Hebert were arrested and booked on various charges, including criminal conspiracy.
