Two Arrested In Lafayette Attempted Home Invasion

It was a frightening Saturday morning for some Lafayette residents.

The Sheriff's Office says three suspects tried to break into a home on Pope Drive, breaking windows and threatening the people inside. Police say the suspects were not able to get into the home, but they still caused considerable damage to the home and to the victim's car. The victims were able to provide a description of the suspects' car to police, and they were found just a couple hours later in the area. Shane Touchet, Jamal Robinson, and Devin Romero are all charged with attempted home invasion and simple criminal damage to property. The case remains under investigation.
