Two Arrested In Lafayette Hoverboard Thefts

According to Lafayette Police two people reported their hoverboards were recently taken at gunpoint in the 600 block of Alexander Street. The victims knew the thieves and police were able to quickly locate the suspects in the parking lot of a nearby restaurant. Searching the suspect's vehicle police discovered one of the stolen hoverboards and a .45 caliber handgun. Police arrested a juvenile for the armed robbery while 17 year old Latraven Derouen was arrested for being a principal to the armed robbery.
