Two Arrested In Scott For Multiple Drug Charges
The Scott Police Department arrested two men on drug charges last Friday after officers were enforcing a noise ordinance violation.
Officers pulled over Keidrick Lewis, 30, of Lafayette for loud music coming from his vehicle. One passenger, 33-year-old Terrence Thomas, of Grambling, was found in the vehicle sleeping. Once both men were detained, officers located a clear plastic container with what was determined to cocaine inside. The search of the vehicle also yielded numerous small bags of marijuana. Upon arresting the two suspects, officers located a large amount of cash on both gentlemen.
Keidrick Lewis was arrested on the following charges:
- Scott City Noise Ordinance Loud Music from Vehicles
- No Driver’s License
- No Proof of Insurance
- Possession of Schedule II Controlled Substances (possession of crack cocaine)
- Possession of Schedule I with Intent to Distribute (marijuana)
- Possession of Monies Derived from Drug Transactions
Terrence Thomas was arrested on the following charges:
- Possession of Schedule II Controlled Substances (possession of crack cocaine)
- Possession of Schedule I with Intent to Distribute (marijuana)
- Monies Derived from Drug Transactions
Both men were booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center.
