Two Arrests Made In Eunice Double Murder Case

A double murder case from 2006 can be put to rest after today. Police in Eunice say they've made two arrests in the five-year-old case. Chief Ronald Dies tells KPEL that Warren Gautreaux and Quinten Ceaser of Eunice have both been arrested on first degree murder charges. They're believed to be responsible for the 2006 murders of Mary Ann and Huey Courville.

Dies says they got new leads on the case after resubmitting evidence to the state's crime lab and re-interviewing witnesses. Dies says it's a solemn day for his department, and he hopes the victims' families will finally have closure.
