Two Bodies Discovered In Lafayette Home, Deputies Investigating

LAFAYETTE, La. (KPEL) -- Lafayette Parish deputies were called to the scene of a home on Lebesque Road where two bodies, a man and a woman, were discovered yesterday afternoon.

Both victims in the home near University Ave. have gunshot wounds, but police have not classified their deaths as a homicide.  Police are saying that they believe the two died sometime between noon and 4pm on Wednesday.

Investigators have been interviewing family members and friends who may have had contact with the deceased during the course of the day.  Officers have confirmed that 4 family members lived at the residence and the remaining two have been cooperating with them as they investigate.

As of now, police are not releasing the names of those that died, pending notification of family members.
