St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office officials are reporting two narcotics-based arrests after raiding a snow ball stand located in Opelousas. Jermaine D. Doucet, 37, and Bryant C. Fields,32, both of Opelousas were arrested after the narcotics enforcement team raided the T & E Soul Food and Sno-Balls stand at 102 S. Bullard St. on Dec. 17th.  It is reported Doucet and Fields were selling marijuana from the stand, where they also sold food and drinks. The stand-now permanently closed-was located within two separate drug-free school zones.

Both men were charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and violation of a controlled dangerous substance within a drug-free zone. Further investigation is pending, which may lead to additional charges.
