Two Dead, One Injured After Pickup Crashes In Bunkie

Two men from Bunkie died when their pickup truck hit a utility pole and flipped over on Louisiana Highway 29.

Louisiana State Police Master Trooper Scott Moreau says the wreck killed the driver of the pickup truck, 42-year-old Marvin Overbey.

A passenger in the pickup truck, 50-year-old Gary Ogea, was also killed as state police say neither man was wearing a seat belt.

55-year-old Vickie Kelone, who was wearing a seat belt, is being treated for moderate injuries at Bunkie General Hospital.

The crash happened around 10:15 p.m. Wednesday on Louisiana Highway 29.

Moreau says investigators believe alcohol may have been involved, and he adds that routine toxicology tests are pending.
