Two people are dead following a weekend accident on I-49. State Police say a car was traveling north on I-49 when for unknown reasons, the car went into the median and began to turnover. Two passengers were transported to a local hospital, but both died from their injuries. The driver, witnesses say, fled on foot. He is described as a hispanic male in his mid twenties last seen wearing a dark blue short sleeve shirt and khaki pants. He may have a minor injury to his head and nose.
