Two Festivals in Breaux Bridge Oct 17

Anything going on in Breaux Bridge means a good time, and on October 17, you have the opportunity to attend not one, but two different festivals in Pom Breaux! Teche Fest is in it's second year, and the 4th annual Shake Your Trail Feather Fest is at Parc des Ponts.

Teche Fest is in downtown Breaux Bridge from 10 am to 5 pm., and will shine a light on the new new Teche Center for the Arts, and historic downtown.  An Art Walk will also be held in conjunction with the event, to showcase some of the wonderful local artists and artisans. Music starts at 8:30 a.m. at Café Des Amis, and a Children's Art Parc will be open from 10:00 am - 3:00 pm.

Shake Your Trail Feather is a free event with funds being raised from selling the official festival pin, which is $5. The festival celebrates the Bayou Teche Paddle Trail and starts at 11:30 am and runs until 6pm. with music by St. Bernard School children, David Greely and Megan Brown, the Grammy nominated Magnolia Sisters, and Horace Trahan and the Ossun Express. There will be a bike event, and and canoes will paddle 2 hours from Poche Bridge to the park. Proceeds from the festival go toward building the Nationally recognized Bayou Teche Paddle Trail,

Both of these events are family friendly, and are a wonderful way to enjoy and support the creative and outdoors communities in Breaux Bridge.
