The Seattle Seahawks will face the New England Patriots on February 1st, in Arizona, to play in Super bowl XLIX and at least two former LSU Tigers will be on the field vying for a world championship.

Cornerback Tharold Simon for the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots wide receiver Brandon Lafell will both be active for the big game.

A third former Tiger, Patriots running back Steven Ridley is on injured reserve and will likely be on the sideline for New England.

In the AFC Championship Game, Brandon Lafell had four catches and 28 yards receiving to help the Patriots defeat the Indianapolis Colts.

In the NFC Championship Game, Tharold Simon played a reserve role for Seattle and did not record a stat in the Seahawks come from behind win over Green Bay.  Simon recorded three interceptions in 10 games played this regular season.

LSU fans should be on the lookout for these two on Super Sunday as they could match up against each other on the field during the game.
