Two former New Orleans Saints are one step closer to being immortalized at the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio.

Former Linebacker Rickey Jackson, and offensive tackle Willie Roaf are already in the hall. Nola.com reports, Linebacker Sam Mills, and the NFL's all time scoring leader, kicker Morten Andersen are one step closer to joining them. Mills & Andersen have both been named semifinalists for the Hall of  Fame class of 2016. Andersen holds the NFL scoring record, with 2,544 points.

Mills played three seasons for the Baltimore/ Philadelphia stars, and was named all USFL in each season. He played for the Saints from 1986-94, and the Carolina Panthers from 1995-97. He was a 5 time Pro Bowl selection, and a 4 time All Pro.
