Two Lafayette Parish Men Accused In Butte La Rose Area Burglaries

24-year-old Anthony Barthe of Lafayette and 18-year-old Tony Pollard, Jr. of Carencro have been arrested in connection with a string of camp burglaries in the Butte La Rose area.

Major Ginny Higgins with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office says the two men were arrested after leaving a camp after an alleged attempted break-in.

Anthony Barthe faces the following charges:

• Simple Burglary-7 Counts
• Illegal Possession of Stolen Property- 1 count
• Trespassing- 1 count
• Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon

Tony Pollard, Jr. faces the following charges:

• Simple Burglary-7 Counts
• Illegal Possession of Stolen Property- 1 count
• Trespassing- 1 count

They've both been booked into the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center. Their bond has been set $26,500.00.
