Two Lafayette Parish Men Accused In Home Burglary
19-year-old Devin Paddio of Lafayette and 28-year-old Michael J. Williams of Carencro have been arrested on allegations they robbed a home Thursday morning.
Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s deputies say they were called out to a home on Bajat Road where they found a door had been forced open. Neighbors were able to give officers a description of the getaway car and three digits from the license plate. Sheriff’s Office spokesman Captain Kip Judice says that car was found nearby at a home on Nanoke Lane. A search of that home turned up about $10,000.00 worth of stolen items.
Paddio and Williams were both booked on simple burglary charges. Williams was also charged with child desertion because he allegedly left two children at home while he committed the crimes. No bond has been set on that charge.
Their involvement in other daytime residential burglaries is under investigation by Sheriff’s Investigators. The case remains under investigation.
