Two Lives Taken On Christmas Day By Fire

Annette Salter and her son Dudley Salter were in their trailer in Catahoula Parish when it caught fire. The entire house was in flames when the Enterprise and Jonesville Fire Departments responded to the fire. A family member who lived nearby suffered injuries trying to rescue the people inside. The cause of the blaze is currently under investigation.
No smoke alarms were in the home. The State Fire Marshall’s office would like to remind everyone to have working smoke alarms in their home.
