Two Men Arrested In Opelousas Drug Bust

A huge drug bust in Opelousas.

St. Landry Parish authorities were told that marijuana was being sold at a home on Montgomery Road. When detectives searched the place, they found 8 pounds of marijuana, both crack and powder cocaine and multiple other drugs totaling about $20,000. They also found multiple guns and over $6,000 in cash. Johnell Melancon of Opelousas faces multiple drug and gun charges, while Dwayne Norman II, also of Opelousas, faces numerous drug charges.
