Two Men Wounded In Lafayette Drive-By Shooting

Early Sunday morning, around 2:00 a.m., Lafayette Police were called to Louisiana Avenue to investigate a call about a drive by shooting.

The victims of the shooting, 26 and 32 year-old males, told police that they were driving on East Willow Street when a black SUV drove along the side of their vehicle and began shooting. The shooter fired many round and managed to hit both drivers, one in the leg and the other in the arm.

The victims were able to drive away from the scene and drove to Louisiana Avenue before calling police.

They were then transported to a local hospital and are currently listed in stable condition.

Police are asking for anyone with information to come forward and contact the Lafayette Police Department.
