A wastewater brokerage firm and its owners have pleaded guilty to illegally disposing of industrial wastewater in both Baton Rouge and Belle River.

RAM Environmental Services Inc. along with owners Raymond Marcel Jr. and Cyril Robicheaux pleaded guilty to conspiracy to defraud the Environmental Protection Agency.  They also pleaded guilty to violating the Safe Drinking Water Act.

RAM will get three years of probation, a $50,000 fine, and they will have to pay restitution which will be determined by the court.

Marcel and Robicheaux each face up to five years in prions, a $250,000 fine, and they will also pay restitution.

U.S. District Judge James Brady did not set a sentencing date.
