Two New Iberia Juveniles Busted Trying To Break Into Business

(KPEL) — A 12-year-old and a 13-year-old are in trouble with the law after police say they were caught trying to breaking into a business.
Capt. Ryan Turner with the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office says deputies observed the pair trying to braking into EJ’s Easy Shop on July 10. The two were able to run away, but police were able to identify them a short time later.
“Both were charged with attempted burglary and simple criminal damage to property,” Turner says.
They were both released into the custody of their parents, Turner says.
