Two People Identified In Apparent Murder-Suicide In St. Landry Parish

More information developing on the apparent murder-suicide KPEL has been reporting on since yesterday afternoon. Investigators with the St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office say Russell Clark went to Sonny Street in the Opelousas area, using a shotgun to force his way into the house Kathleen Clark was staying in. He then brought her to LA Highway 103 outside of Washington. When they got to the highway's intersection with Arlington Road, she jumped out of the moving vehicle. Russell Clark then got out with a handgun and shot her in the head. He then turned the gun on himself, later dying in the hospital.
