Two Propositions Approved
As of now, the Charter Commission has two proposals for voters to decide on when it comes to what form of government they want for Lafayette.
One calls for five city council members with governing authority over LUS and the Lafayette Public Power Authority. The second proposition gives the five council members complete authority of all city of Lafayette issues and utilities. Under this proposal, the other four council members would have no voting authority on city issues. The first of two public hearings will be held next Monday.
